 A REPORT ON INNOVATIVE WORK – 2 CLASS : IX UNIT : BEHIND MOVEMENTS TOPIC : PLANT MOVEMENTS WORK : WORKING MODEL OF VENUS FLYTRAP INTRODUCTION Plant movements are an interesting and important part of the Class IX Biology syllabus. However, students often find it difficult to understand how plants respond to stimuli. To make this concept clear and attractive, an innovative working model of the “Venus Flytrap” was prepared using simple, low-cost materials. This model demonstrates how plants show movement in response to touch. It is a kind of Nastic movement.The nastic movement is not dependent the stimuli.
