Teaching practice phase 2

DAY -1 (4/11/2025 Tuesday)
5 students, including me wents to NSS HS kurathikad as part of the teaching practice phase 2.we were all excited as it was the first day of our teaching practice phase -2 .all of reached the school by 9.20 am .Then we met the headmistress and hand over the attendance register after every one signed the attendance register.Then we went to the allotted room. Today I had second period in 8 B ,I interacted with students.school dispersed at 3.45pm We signed the attendance register at 3.45 pm and left the school.
DAY -2 ( 5/11/2025 Wednesday)
Today is my second day of our teaching practice.we reached school at 9.30 am and signed the attendance register.Today I had first period in 9.B I conducted a class on the topic "Movements in the living world "for grade 9.B. The students were attentive and actively participated .They were able to differentiate between types of plant and animal movements and gave good examples from daily life. The teaching aids and visuals helped enhance their understanding. Overall, the session was effective and engaging, though I plan to include more activities in the next class to strengthen conceptual clarity.. I complete my lesson plan in this period.In the afternoon we went to serve the lunch to children. School dispersed in 3.45 pm we signed the attendance register at 3.45 pm and left the school.
DAY -3 (6/11/2025 Thursday)
Today is my third day of our teaching practice please -2 .we reached the school at 9.30 am and signed the attendance register " keralo savam " programme was conducted today in the assembly .Today, the fourth period I handled the topic “History of Taxonomy” for class 8.B using the ICT model. The use of multimedia presentations and visual aids helped the students understand the contributions of early scientists in the field of classification. The students showed great interest in the visuals and participated actively in the discussion. The integration of ICT made the session more interactive and engaging. Overall, the class was successful, and students were able to grasp the concept effectively. I complete my lesson plan in this period.in the afternoon we went to serve the lunch to children.school dispersed in 3.45 pm we signed the attendance register at 3.45 pm and left the school.
DAY -4 (7/11/2025 , Friday)
Today is the fourth day of our teaching practice phase 2 .we reached the school at 9.30am and signed the attendance register.Today I had no class.In the afternoon we went to serve the lunch to children.In the fifth period I had a substitution period in 8 c .I take the students to the ground for P.E .as the bell rang at 3.45 pm .we signed out the attendance register and left the school by about 4.00pm
DAY -5(10/11/2025, Monday)
We reached the school on time and signed our attendance register. After the school prayer and pledge I went to the class.Today, .I have a class in 9.B according to the time table on the first period I conducted a class on the topic “Body Movement” for class 9.B. To make the lesson more interactive and , I used mind maps, activity cards, and flash cards. The students actively participated in identifying different types of movements . The mind map helped them visualize the concept clearly, while the activity and flash cards promoted quick recall and peer learning. The class was lively and engaging. Most students were able to connect theoretical concepts with real-life examples. Overall, the session was effective and enhanced both understanding and participation. second period I have a class in 8.B I conducted a topic "the level of classification"I used a pyramid model to represent the hierarchical levels of classification and a puzzle activity to reinforce the learning. Students were enthusiastic and actively participated.The pyramid model helped them visualize the order from kingdom to species, while the puzzle encouraged teamwork and critical thinking. The use of activity-based learning made the session enjoyable and effective. Overall, the class was interactive, and students achieved a clear understanding of the concept.Third period was free for me. In the fourth period I have a class in 8.A .In the noon interval time, we served food to the students and also maintained the discipline of the students during the interval.In the sixth period sports sir asked us to take the students of class 9.c to the ground.Two of us went to the ground with them.In the evening we left the school at 4.00pm after national anthem.
DAY -6 (11/11/2025 Tuesday)
As all regular days,we reached the school on time and signed our attendance register.I have a class in 8.B in the fourth period ,So before that I went to the staff room and collect sign from the concerned teacher ,on my lesson plan .conducted a class on the topic “Classification Levels of Tiger” for class 8.B. A colorful chart displaying the taxonomic hierarchy of the tiger from Kingdom to Species was used to explain the concept clearly. The visual aid helped students easily understand how living organisms are grouped based on shared characteristics. Students actively participated by identifying each level and comparing it with other animals. The chart served as an effective tool to enhance visualization and recall. Overall, the session was interactive . In the noon interval we served food to the children. In the fifth period after noon interval I have a substitution period in 9 A class. In the evening we signed our attendance register and left the school at 4.00pm.
(12/11/2025 Wednesday ) Mannarasala Aayilyam festival leads to a holiday declaration in Alappuzha district, hence the school is holiday.
DAY 7(13/11/2025 Thursday)
DAY-8 (14/11/2025 Friday)
Today was the children 's day.we reached the school on time and signed our attendance register . In the first period I had no class.In the second period the school organized a children's day rally.many students were dresses of Nehru and lead the rally.They yellow many slogans.we also accompanied the rally.The students involved in the rally with strict discipline.In the noon interval we served food to the students.In the fifth period I got a substitution period in 8 C . There was a camp in the school for checking the HB count of students.We also cooperated to conduct that camp in the radio room.At 4.00pm we left the school.
